歸根之戀
林語(yǔ)堂晚年思鄉(xiāng)情切，1966年回臺(tái)灣定居。60年代后期用中文寫了300多篇文章，大多收入《無(wú)所不談合集》。曾先后出席國(guó)際大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)協(xié)會(huì)第二屆大會(huì)、國(guó)際筆會(huì)第三十六、三十七屆大會(huì)等。1975年維也納國(guó)際筆會(huì)第四十屆大會(huì)推舉林語(yǔ)堂為副會(huì)長(zhǎng)，小說(shuō)《京華煙云》獲諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)提名。
1972年，林語(yǔ)堂主編的《當(dāng)代漢英詞典》由香港中文大學(xué)出版社出版。
1976年3月26日病逝于香港。4月1日，安葬于臺(tái)北陽(yáng)明山永福里住所后花園里（現(xiàn)仰德大道二段141號(hào)）。
In his old age, Lin Yutang yearned strongly for his hometown, and made hispermanent home in Taiwan in 1966. During the late 1960s, he wrote over 300 articlesin Chinese, mostly included in his Collection of Essays on All subjects. He successivelyattended the second conference of International University Presidents Association, 36thand 37th Conference of the International Writers Association. He was elected ViceChairman of the International Writers Association during its 40th conference in Viennain 1975,and his novel Moment in Peking was nominated for Nobel Prize.In 1972, Chinese-English Dictionary of Modern Usage, of which he was the chiefeditor,was published by Hong Kong Chinese University Press.On March 26, 1976, he died in Hong Kong. On April 1, he was buried in the backgarden of his home in Yongfu Lane, Yangmingshan, Taipei (now #141 2nd Section,Yangde Thoroughfare) .
